It is not secret that Croatia’s 2017 Eurovision entry MY FRIEND is the favourite song of ESCCovers and we are doing all in our power to get this song covered in South Africa. Today we will feature a bit of Croatia stating with the promo package – a chocolate, a fantastic MY FRIEND bag and the memory stick.
I am celebrating 25 years of Eurovision in a row and this is my song for 2017 – MY FRIEND from Croatia – so happy they qualified for the final of the 2017 Eurovision song contest tomorrow. Chief editor of ESCCovers Ian Fowell took the photo during their first rehearsal for the final. Thank you to all the Eurovision friends I have made over 25 years.

After several attempts Jacques Houdek has been confirmed as the representative for Croatia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. His song will be revealed shortly.
Jacques has participated in the Dora national selection and many other festivals in Croatia and the Balkans. He is a mentor on The Voice of Croatia.

The Croatian broadcaster HRT has announced that Jacques Houdek will represent the country in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Houdek’s song for Kyiv will be unveiled soon.
JACQUES HOUDEK was born in Zagreb and is 35 years old. He has been singing professionally since 2002 and has previously entered the Croatian national selection, Dora, several times. He is well-known as a judge on The Voice of Croatia, the competition that last year’s Croatian entrant, Nina Kraljic, won in 2015.
Immediately after the announcement Jacques, whose birth name is Zeljko, expressed his joy at being chosen to sing for Croatia.
Croatia’s song for 2017 will be unveiled at a later date.
