OKSANA VOYAGE from Ukraine has released her new song called Serpnevyy den (August Day). An emotional ballad about feeling that can never be brought back.

OKSANA talks to ESC Covers about the emotional feelings behind this new track. 

“When you watch stories like this in movies, they seem fictional. But life can be just as surprising. That’s why every word of this song felt true to that story. It’s about people, about pain, and about feelings that sometimes cannot be controlled.”

 The singer admits that she came across August Day by chance and immediately knew it was meant for her.

 “I didn’t even know who had written the song. I simply heard it, and in that very moment I remembered the story of my friends. I told myself, ‘This is my song. I have to sing it.’ It’s incredibly tender, heartbreaking, and deeply honest.  

‘August Day’ tells the story of a love that leaves a lasting mark on the heart, of a final glance, a final touch, and memories that outlive the relationship itself. 

 I feel that I was able to convey the emotional depth of this song and share a piece of my soul. I wanted every listener to experience this story together with me.

 Perhaps ‘August Day’ is simply a metaphor. Or perhaps it’s that one final day that stays with you forever. The last touch, the last look, the last words. And the lingering ache remains inside for a long time. That’s exactly what my new song is about.”

The song was written by Oleh Lomakin with the arrangement by Gennadii Puhachov. It is available to stream from all digital platforms.
