Alexandra Căpitănescu to represent Romania at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest

Alexandra Căpitănescu has won the Selecția Națională 2026 selection with her song Choke Me and will sing for Romania at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May.

12 acts competed in the final with the result decided by a jury.

Runners up were HVNDS with Dor (Yearning) and third place went to Alejandro Zandes & Emil Rengle and their song Bailando Solo  (Dancing alone).
