In 1997 KATRINA & THE WAVES represented the UNITED KINGDOM at the Eurovision song contest with the song LOVE SHINE A LIGHT. IT turned out the winner of the contest that year.

ROBERT OVEREEM, who is Dutch, but now living in COLOMBIA in South America covered the song, also in English.

Robert has around 40 Eurovision related songs on his YouTube channel. There are quite a lot songs that had not been written about on the ESC COVERS  website and during next year we will give attention to some of them. There is Wat een dag, Netherlands 1961, which was never recorded by the original artist so that makes Robert’s version interesting. There is also Dreamin’, ireland 1995, which the composer of the song wrote Robert that he loves his version a lot.
