Voting for the best Eurovision song each year is always an activity most fans take part in.There is the OGAE club voting, but since that voting throws so many votes together for especially people living in REST OF THE WORLD countries, it has not been a true reflection of the taste of people in countries who do not take part.
So ESC COVERS has decided to do a voting by COUNTRY and especially those who do not take part this year. If anybody in countries such as Costa Rica, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Panama, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico etc are interested to organize a vote in your country please do so and inform us at roy@esccovers.com. You can do a vote until 15 April 2017 and even make a voting picture which we will publish on the ESC Covers website and the Eurovision coverage facebook.
You can see some examples of voting pictures from previous years.
In Kyiv an award will be handed to the artist/group who won the country by country vote.
Each country can arrange the voting in any of two ways. Allow your people to just give the normal Eurovision vote 12-10-8-7 etc – so voting for 10 songs they like best, or each person can vote for all 43 songs by giving 43 points to their favourite all the way down to 1 for the song they have last. But the combined voting per country has to be just for 10 songs in the 12-10-8 style.
Voting will probably only start after 18 March when the Armenian entry has been presented but you now have a few days to organize the voting and inform your fans via your facebooks.
