Rita Laranjeira gave an another amazing performance in the Gala show of The Voice Portugal 2020. She sang the Sam Smith song Writing’s On The Wall and gave it everything with a strong and emotional performance.
Sadly, Rita did not make it to the next phase of the competition but she can be very proud of her consistent and powerful performances throughout this incredible journey for her.
This is only the beginning for Rita and a stepping stone for bigger and better things in the future.

The journey for Rita Laranjeira on The Voice Portugal 2020 has unfortunately ended at ‘the battles’ stage. But she went with an amazing fight and showed a lot of dignity and class with her performance.
In the ‘Batalhas’ (Battles) phase of The Voice Portugal, Rita, was up against the duo, Miguel & João. Rita gave a charming performance of the Labrinth song, Jealous. The gentle ballad was performed very elegantly with Rita’s clear vocals. The male duo of Miguel & João sang Luar do Sertão (Hinterlands Moonlight), which is a popular Brazilian song.
After a difficult choice, the mentor, Aurea, decided to put Miguel & João through to the next round.
Rita, who is only 15 years old, can be proud of her performances on The Voice Portugal. Although the journey may have ended, this is only the beginning. Rita has the capability of going far in the music business, not just in Portugal, but internationally.

Rita Laranjeira gave a wonderful performance in the Blind Auditions of The Voice Portugal 2020. She impressed all the judges with her beautiful and charming interpretation of the song Skinny Love by Birdy.
All four judges turned their chairs for Rita and after a difficult choice, she chose her mentor to be Aurea, one of the biggest stars in Portugal, and who has had many hit songs and albums and won prizes at events such as the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The judges on The Voice Portugal 2020 are Aurea, Diogo Piçarra, Marisa Liz and António Zambujo.
Rita represented Portugal at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song Gosto de Tudo (Já Não Gosto de Nada).
