EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2021 – SEMI FINAL 1 – 1ST REHEARSAL

 ESC  Covers got Norbert Pannemann from INFE IRELAND to watch for us semi-final 1, 1st dress rehearsal of the 2021 Eurovision song contest.

Before the hosts Edsilia, Jan, Nikkie and Chantal welcomed all viewers to the show, Duncan Laurence sang his new single Feel Something. After that it was time for the participants to sing their song.

2. Slovenia, average song and performance, non qualifier
3. Russia, average song, great dress, non qualifier
4. Sweden, average song, good performance, qualifier
5. Australia, good song, nice colourfull performance, qualifier
6. North Macedonia, good song, emotional performance, qualifier
7. Ireland, good song, interesting performance, qualifier
8. Cyprus, average song, good performance, non qualifier
9. Norway, good song and performance, qualifier
10. Croatia, average song, the dancers lift the performance to a higher lever, non qualifier
11. Belgium, good song, stylish performance, qualifier
12. Israel, average song, just a bit bland performance, non qualifier
13. Romania, good contemporary song and performance, qualifier
14. Azerbaijan, average song, non qualifier
15. Ukraine, good ethnic song, qualifier
16. Malta, average song, excellent vocals by Destiny who was wearing a silver dress, new boots and a new wig, qualifier
The 1st interval act is the The Power Of Water performed by Dutch pop sensation Davina Michelle and actress Thekla Reuten. The inspiration for this impressive piece is that The Netherlands are lying for a huge part beneath sea level.
The 2nd interval act is a short film with lots of Eurovision winners and the 3rd interval act is a Eurovision tutorial by Nikkie.
Before the voting there are performances of the direct finalists Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
After watching a great 1st rehearsal of the difficult to predict semi-1 this are the 10 qualifiers according to INFE Ireland:
Lithuania, Sweden, Australia, North Macedonia, Ireland, Norway, Belgium, Romania, Ukraine and Malta.
INFE South Africa and ESC Covers will report on your qualifiers after the Jury show tonight.
