Eurovision news round up: Saturday 9 February – national selections


Here is a news round up of a busy night again for Eurovision national selections and qualifiers.


The second semi-final of the 2019 Melodifestivalen took place in  Malmö and the two acts direct to the final are –

Malou - I Do Me

Hanna Ferm & LIAMOOHold You

The two acts for the second chance phase are Andreas Johnson and Vlad Reiser.


Four acts progressed in the 2019 A Dal

  • Acoustic Planet – Nyári zápor 
  • Bence Vavra – Szótlanság
  • Petruska – Help Me Out Of Here 
  • The Middletonz – Roses


The first semi-final of the 2019 Söngvakeppnin took place and two acts qualified –

  • Hatari – Hatrið mun sigra
  • Hera Björk – Eitt andartak


The following acts qualified for the next phase of the 2019 Eurovizijos Nacionaline Atranka –

  • Jurgis Brūzga – CTRL ALT DELETE
  • Justina Budaitė-Junà – Strength of A Woman
  • Henry & Tommy Modric – Neverpart
  • Monika Marija – Light On


The four acts that will compete in the final of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion 2019 are –

  • Maya Buskila
  • Ketreyah
  • Shefita
  • Kobi Merimi


The following acts are still in the running in Georgian Idol –

  • Liza Kalandadze 
  • Nini Tsnobiladze 
  • Giorgi Pruidze 
  • Giorgi Nakashidze 
  • Oto Nemsadze 
  • Tamar Lachkhepiani 

Ikako Aleksidze was the latest act to depart the competition.
