A VISIT TO THE ABBA MUSEUM IN STOCKHOLM IS A MUST FOR EVERY EUROVISION FAN

The group of British fans currently in Stockholm for tonight’s final did a trip to the ABBA MUSEUM in  STOCKHOLM. In the group is IAN FOWELL, a journalist from ESC Covers.

Such a trip is almost compulsory for Eurovision fans.

OGAE Rest of the world group did a trip to the museum in 2016 when Eurovision was in Stockholm, as I had gifts for the museum – my entire South African collection of ABBA vinyl singles on a South African label (Sunshine).

I think many of the REST OF THE WORLD group had a fantastic time. Michaela Sowden and her family and I had fun at the cardboard outside with the open holes to put your faces through.

It will be nice if any OGAE REST OF WORLD member want to share his or her story of ABBA, seeing that this is 50 years since ABBA won Eurovision. I am sure Luc won’t mind putting the stories on the REST OF THE WORLD website. If not, ESC COVERS website will gladly post it on this website.

I have never met ABBA, they never toured South Africa (due to sanctions) but I was lucky to meet Benny’s son and his wife  in 1996 when ONE MORE TIME was the act representing Sweden in Oslo. I also met their two sons in 2016 in Stockholm as we covered their song in Afrikaans which was in the Danish Eurovision selection and I handed them a copy of the Afrikaans cover.

The picture of the ABBA members look so real.
